Beldon Bison Ranch
The Beldon Bison Ranch in Nipawin, Saskatchewan, is operated by Nathan and Amanda Scott. Their wares have been gracing the local pastures for a good many years. A plethora of animals has been added to the acreage.
The Beldon name might not be a familiar name to your average joe but it has been a part of the Saskatchewan bison community for more than a century. While the family has owned and operated 160 acres of land since 1987, the present day operation covers some 4800 acres. Despite the age of the herd, the Scott family still manages to find time to participate in some of the more solitary activities. The boys have a great time helping out on the job when they can.
The Beldon Bison may not have the glitz and glam of some of their peers but the Scotts have a solid foundation and the ability to see their product through the end of the rainbow. They have been the proud recipients of numerous awards from the Saskatchewan Bison Association and the Canadian National Bison Society.
Island Bison Ranch
The Island Bison Ranch is one of the largest and most successful bison raising operations in the world. The company is dedicated to maintaining the wild bison lines that are currently roaming the land. The ranch specializes in raising a variety of bison for meat.
